GLI held the inaugural Leadership in Liver Health luncheon on October 6, 2021, at which we honored Veronica Roye, DNP, FNP-BC, Nicole Golden, DNP, FNP-BC and Monica Nelson-Kone, BSN, RN, the team behind the Black Liver Health Initiative, with the Excellence in Health Equity Award. The in-person, fully vaccinated event raised the profile of crucial issues in liver health and showcased successes impacting the liver community. Proceeds from the event benefited non-profit Global Liver Institute and our programs to help prevent liver disease and achieve a better experience for liver patients.
