#OctoberIs4Livers
The #OctoberIs4Livers campaign was created to unite the liver cancer community in a global conversation to raise awareness and drive progress against liver cancers. Rooted in the lived experiences of those impacted and informed by expert insight, the campaign focuses on four interconnected pillars: education, prevention, detection, and survivorship.
GLI believes that education is the foundation of prevention. By increasing understanding of liver cancer risk factors, including hepatitis infections, MASLD, alcohol use, and obesity, people are better equipped to take proactive steps toward protecting their liver health. The campaign also emphasizes the importance of early detection through screening and surveillance, especially in high-risk and underserved populations, as a critical strategy for improving outcomes. Beyond diagnosis and treatment, #OctoberIs4Livers supports a vision of survivorship that includes long-term care, resources, and a strong community of support, ensuring that patients and caregivers are not alone at any point in their journey.

Join us this October, under the theme Know Your Risk, Know Your Options, as GLI brings forth a month full of webinars, educational resources, and community programs that center around liver cancer education, prevention, detection, and survivorship.
