GLI held its second Leadership in Liver Health luncheon on October 17, 2022, at which we honored Dr. Michelle McMurry-Heath, MD, PhD with the Global Excellence in Health Equity Award and Dr. Leana Wen, MD, MSc with the Global Excellence in Health Communications Award. The in-person event raised the profile of crucial issues in liver health and showcased successes impacting the liver community. Proceeds from the event benefited non-profit Global Liver Institute and our programs to help prevent liver disease and achieve a better experience for liver patients.
