Juneteenth
Juneteenth, officially Juneteenth National Independence Day, is a federal holiday in the United States celebrated on June 19th to commemorate the end of slavery in the United States, specifically the announcement of freedom to enslaved people in Texas in 1865. In 2025, Juneteenth falls on a Thursday.
